Service is a gift."}The third of five children born to Lord Guile and Lady Mdbwyn Beregast, Zelphinia was the first daughter born to the noble House Beregast of Ishgard. While only being of minor nobility, she still enjoyed all the benefits (and drawbacks) of growing up in the upper class of Ishgard. Its plain to see from her mannerisms that she is well versed in everything a proper Lady should be, even if she is not the prim and proper Lady some wished for her to be.Her mixed race background (Elezen and Roegadyn) has led to some repeated difficulty, but this only helped make Zelphinia to become the strong and talented woman one may meet should they linger long in the flowered regions of Gridania, the chilly skies of Coerthas, or the halls of certain establishments.The same can be said for her time serving as a Dragoon of Ishgard during the Dragonsong War. Her training brought her into contact with the eyes of Nidhogg and from that moment she began to slowly change into a dragon. It was around this time she was also discovered to have a peculiar gift known to some as the ECHO. The two have a connection, but what it is has yet to be revealed.Her family, having gained considerable position in recent years, still reside in Ishgard proper, overseeing their growing network of greenhouses and distilleries throughout Eorzea. Zelphinia herself assists from time to time, but has a cottage hidden away amongst the flowers and trees of the shroud where she revels in the nurturing of her own greenery and brewing a myriad of delights from her original recipes.A subtly pleasant scent of Rolanberries mixed with Lavender hangs about her at all times and while it does happen, you will rarely ever see her wearing colors other than the Rolanberry and Silver of House Beregast.
